Cosby Co-op

For those who love life in the Mountains.

With our news media turning into "infotainment," government informational opacity, and reliance on "psyops" aimed at shaping public opinion the question arises, "What is real? And how do you distinguish the Real from the lies?"

This is, of course, a perennial question which has arisen in many societies over the expanse of history, and it has been answered effectively by thoughtful men an women again and again.

Here is what I have learned.

People are real.

Your family, friends, and neighbors, their trials, tribulations, and the help they have to offer. That is real. The relationships we have with people on a day to day basis are the things we should pay attention to. All else is subjective speculation subject to manipulation.

I will go further and add that the "Word of God" does not issue from the mouth of some teacher or preacher, and can only be hinted at in any book. The actual word of god is to be found in the caress of the wind on your cheek, the sound of the rain, the shape of the petals that form a rose. All creation is the "Word" of God and God is speaking to you at all times, if you will only shut up for a few minutes and listen.

Humility is not just a "virtue" it is a description of your actual sate of being, for you are a speck, on a speck, that orbits a speck among endless specks in a universe that is so vast that it effectively forms "eternity" with relation to your ability to perceive it. Get used to it!

Questions like "Is God a male or a female?" or "Is God Christian or Moslem," are only so much spinning detritus.

What Matters, is a lover's touch, or a few words of encouragement from a friend, or the sensation of awe you feel when gazing across the tree tops at distant mountains etched against a sky so blue it makes your chest ache with it's blueness.

That is what is real.
