Lately I've been drinking my morning cuppa over Informed Citizen News, http://www.youtube.com/user/InformedCitizenNews and not just because I think their News Babe is cute (which she is!) They seem to have a knack for adding the part of the story the Main Stream Media leaves out. An informed Citizenry (that would be us,) is the bedrock of democracy, so turn off Fox and CNN and use your NYT to wrap fish and watch Informed Citizen News.

Thanks for the site and info I need to stay up on that site more. I have been told that on the next 1040 form there will be a place to list your guns and the feds will tax you on them and know right where to come to get them when Obama wants to. The feds are gonna go around congress and just implement it under the IRS.

That's kind of scary, I suggest massive non-compliance. Without an act of Congress it's illegal for them to do that anyway so I suspect there will be no penalty or enforcement.

But the numbers don't lie.

The interesting thing is what's bankrupting Americans. It's not food, it's not clothing, it's not electronic gadgets and it's not extravagant living.

Since 1970, for two income family with two kids:

* Mortgage payments: up 76%
* Healthy families that are getting employers sponsored health insurance: up 74%
* Owning multiple cars: up 52%
* Child care: up 100% +++
* Taxes: up 25%

These are fixed expenses, the ones you can't avoid. Big, fixed and relentless.

Who profits? Wall Street and the banks, the medical-industrial complex, the oil industry, and the government.

And these numbers are just the tip of the iceberg.
