James, I second that. Obesity in Americans has doubled in the last ten years. Child onset diabetes was unheard of a generation ago, now it's the fastest growing plague in the country. The truth is that the greed for profits has gradually eroded any concern producers may once have had for the well being of their customers. Government oversight agencies like the FDA have been captured by the industries they were created to regulate. We should look upon all "Processed" foods with deep suspicion. Unfortunately the only way to know what is in your food is to grow it yourself, or know and trust the person who does grow it. Which is why I advocate for the "Local Foods" movement.

I too read labals and it has helped me feel better. I was eating the Lean Cuisine ,that is too be persevative free, but would end up sick to my stomach. I think there is MSG in the pasta products that they purchase.I was told by many healh care types that good help is not always paletable. I know the best foods to eat are the ones you grow and pick it ripe. Hope more people will start listening to their onw bods.
