Cosby Co-op is an economic community centered around Cosby Tennessee in the USA. The idea is to use this online website to make contact with others within easy driving distance and set up an informal trading network. This page is where we will list what we have and what we will accept for it. You make your deals directly with the seller, Cosby Co-op merely serves as a bulletin board where you can make contact. This does NOT restrict you to being someone who lives in Cosby as we intend to trade in digital goods as well.

The Cosby Co-operative is offered as a free service to the Citizens of Sevier and Cocke Counties.

It is designed as a platform to nit together those dangling threads of social and economic impulses that make a "community" out of a neighborhood. Times were always pretty tough in the Appalachians but it looks like they are getting tougher and the sooner we all pull together and understand that no one is going to make it entirely by themselves the better off we will be. Those among us who are computer savvy understand what a tremendous resource the Internet is and this is our way of leveraging that advantage to the betterment of all.

Currently the Co-op is the fastest growing community in the Smokys and it is only a question of time before we become an economic and political force to be reckoned with. An informed, activist, polity is the very heart of both political and economic power. Seize the day!

Everybody has something to offer, skill, talent, knowledge, or products, we are all at the same table on this project. So let the trading begin! Play hard! Play fair! And no hitting.
